About
 
In her late 20's, Heather undertook the endeavour of returning to school and graduated from the renowned Sutherland-Chan School & Teaching Clinic in 2004.
 
Heather has worked with a diverse range of clients including: professional athletes, professional stuntmen, cancer patients, individuals in palliative care, bedridden clients, heart attack & stroke survivors and individuals with Multiple Sclerosis. Heather has experience with sports injuries, pre / post & on-site sport massage, workplace & motor vehicle injuries, massage care directly following orthopaedic & thoracic surgeries and prenatal & postpartum massage, as well as, on-site labour support.
 
In 2009, Heather attended the Ironman Sport Medical Conference and learn from the leading Sport Medicine experts from around the globe. In conjunction with the conference, Heather volunteered in the Medical Tent for the 2009 Ironman World Championships where she worked with an elite team of Medical Professionals to care for athletes following the race.
 
Heather is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario.
 
Aquatics / First Aid
 
Heather has worked in Aquatics for 22 years and currently teaches First Aid / CPR and Lifeguard courses for the City of Mississauga and the City of Toronto. Heather has taught advanced leadership courses in a total of 8 municipalities across the GTA and previously worked full-time at the Lifesaving Society.
 
In her younger years, Heather competed in Regional & Provincial Lifeguard Competitions. Today, she continues to volunteer for Provincial & National Lifeguard & Lifesaving Sport Competitions. 
 
 Heather holds multiple aquatic and first aid certifications including:
  • Lifesaving Society Instructor Trainer - National Lifeguard
  • Lifesaving Society Instructor Trainer - First Aid 
  • Lifesaving Society Instructor Trainer - Lifesaving
  • Lifesaving Society Instructor Trainer - Swim

Sports
 
Heather is no stranger to sport injuries and training. She joined the Cross Country Team in 8th grade and continues to run today, completing her 1st full marathon in May of 2010.  Heather has also trained in the Martial Arts for 7 years, studying Karate, Tai Chi and dabbling in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
